The USA National Deaf Men's Soccer team will follow the Women's team into Pensacola for a weekend of training February 26 - March 1. They are coached by Bayside Thunder's Coach Ken McDonald. The team is coming off a run at the world championship in Greece last summer. The Men's team made it past the qualifying group for the first time in a major tournament. They went on to win the quarter finals and into the semi-finals, where they lost after extra time and a penalty shoot-out against Turkey.Read More
The Gulf Breeze Bayside Thunder U17 Boys will meet the USA National Deaf Men's Team on the pitch for an exhibition game at the Gulf Breeze Shoreline Park on Friday 27, 2009 at 6pm. Admission is free; contributions for the USA National team will be accepted as they receive no government funding.
In June 2006 Team USA met for an exhibition game against some area all-stars including UWF players and a former pro soccer player from the Pensacola Flyers.
